Introducing Group Project!

As I was working on my Kenton Kateovation, an amazing Laurelhurst fixer popped up. It's not in my wheelhouse to buy two fixers at the same time. But the property was amazing!! My mind started reeling - what if I was able to buy with some of my fixer-upper friends? Petrá was in contract with her project...and Lauren was eager to try a renovation. So we teamed up and attempted to buy the Laurelhurst property (but did not get our offer accepted).

The ball was rolling though! We created Group Project LLC and began looking for a property. First we found a really cool Sabin property. We got an offer accepted and started inspections. The house needed so much more work than we anticipated. We aimed to negotiate a lower price, but the seller wouldn't bite. Moving on....

Imagine our excitement when not one, but TWO Ladd's Addition homes became available for an off-market purchase. We walked through these two beauties and decided to divide and conquer and successfully purchased both properties. Petrá and her fiance, Justin (who is a licensed contractor) would renovate the smaller home and Lauren and I would tackle the larger corner home.

I'm very used to managing the whole shebang with my Kateovations - so I wasn't sure how it would go to work closely with a another person - making every decision together, managing the timeline and contractors...but I have to tell you - it was a wonderful experience. Sure, we had some hiccups! But it was nice to have someone to share the decision-making and work.

I'm really excited about this opportunity to scale our renovations and be able to consider bigger and more expensive projects! Stay tuned for new Group Projects!
