This listing is filled with charm and character! A darling bungalow on a sunny corner lot in Rose City Park just enjoyed a lovely glow-up. My Pink Door Project mentee transformed this home from BLECH to BERRY NICE!
Of course, all the functional repairs were attacked- including updated siding, fresh paint, new composition roof, plumbing + electrical updates, as well as a sewer repair. She also added an egress window to create a true 3rd bedroom.
The design choices made the home more functionally modern, but stayed true to her 1930's roots and kept many of the really neat + original details that make a house so special. Some of my personal favorited include the bathroom tile, the vanity cabinet (updates with new countertops, sinks + plumbing fixtures), the kitchen cabinets with really cool rose gold hardware, the layered baseboards and stunning door hardware. And the bedroom light fixtures are so cool- I've never seen this style before.
She paired original hardwood floors with neutral LVT in kitchen and baths, kept the groovy "wood" paneled dining room (I love a dark, moody dining room - feels so sexy) and the windows really WOW! The home is situated perfectly to capture abundant natural light.
